I just got back from 3 weeks in Japan - it was awesome.

Here's what I saw:

I already miss the convenience of konbini on every corner 😭

Cherry blossoms were just beginning to pop up around Tokyo! 🌸

Our first visit outside of Tokyo was Matsumoto-jō Castle in the Nagano Prefecture

It is listed as a National Treasure of Japan, and is one of the twelve surviving *tenshu* in Japan.

We traveled to Matsumoto primarily to visit the home of Shinichi Suzuki, a legendary violin pedagog.

Children (seen on the ritghwear bright colored hats to be seen more easily in public.

Next stop: Kyoto. This was my favorite image from the whole trip, taken from the Arashiyama Bamboo Forest.

Shinkyogoku Shopping Street in Kyoto - so much cool stuff to buy there.

So here's the reason I stuck around Japan for an extra week after Amanda left... Sigma launched their new camera (the Sigma BF) in Tokyo and I was lucky enough to have been invited by my friend Max (on the right in the above image) who was doing some content creation for the event! The image on the left is with Sigma's CEO, Kazuto Yamaki. Not only did I get to visit Sigma's HQ outside of Tokyo for the launch event, but I also got to visit their factory in a small mountain town called Aizu.

It was quite the incredible 3 weeks and I already can't wait to return to Japan for my next visit. Thanks for letting me share these images with you and I hope you enjoyed them!
